Feeling bored and sad

Today, 10th June, I have shifted to my new place with mixed feelings. I missed my old place with great collegues and fun. We had tremendous time of 2 years being together and had lots of excitement and joy.
Now moved to my new place but still in Motorola (sad to say), I am being surrounded with geeks and nerdys'. I lost all my freedom n fun but only focus on work..work..work
Wonder till when will this sadness last?!

No, not the content of the article BUT the picture! It shows a happy-looking American boy with a dummy ‘daddy’ and ‘mummy’ at the rear seats.
What has gone wrong to the human’s mind that they have to mask the chest of the dummy ‘mummy’?
C’mon! It’s a DUMMY!! A plastic dummy!

Who can relate crystal to stainless steel? The credit goes to the incredible Japanese designer (Tokujin Yoshioka, http://www.tokujin.com) who created this masterpiece of art for a crystal company using stainless steel!

What you've seen in the photo is the new retail outlet of a famous crystal company in Ginza, Tokyo. The designer uses stainless steel to create a reflection of cyrstal at the entrance of the retail shop. This can't be done without in depth understanding of elements. We use knowledge of science in creating masterpiece of art... when art goes back to science, science looks for answer in the nature. I think I'd better get closer to the nature to get a breakthru in science :D

Saw this photo on a newspaper and I've got to learn about Oscar de la Renta. This photo ignite my fire of curiousity to learn more about Oscar. After a few searches on the web, finally I found this photo. This is one of the work from Oscar's 2009 bridal collection and this is my favourite! I've seen many many bridal designs and none actually captured my attention like this one!! I just can't get my eyes off this elegant piece of work by Oscar!!! Time to find someone to put this on... haha :D

Can you actually see d shape of a pregnant lady?

The historical story behind it was, there was this gal by d name of Dayang, wen to that island n apparently she was thirsty. She took a sip of d lake water and the next thing she found out was, she's pregnant. Unfortunately, she isnt married at all. That's where the island is named "Pulau Dayang Bunting"

So its pretty horrific rite but i wish i was here so i can get baby without having husband and going thru headache life. hehe

Would like to share with my friends; stuff in my room, many items were given by love ones and friends and to protect their privacy, I will not disclose from whom they were given.
Not sure you will classify my room as girlish or boyish..Hehe..That’s for you to judge:

(1) Entry to my room, with the door dangler (It this what you called it?), which makes it looks like the 60’s style and I like it a lot, given on my birthday ’07.
(2) From the pic background, you can see a thermometer and a dart board game.
(3) A close up look at the thermometer to check my room temp. Max temp in my room was recorded at 28degC. Given on my birthday ’05.
(4) A dart board game. You can see a few darts hit on the bull’s eye. Hey, it was not meant for pic taking purpose, but was really scored by dad. Got it from Sunshine member point redemption, I guess around 2000 points required.
(5) A jigsaw puzzle and a set of Ferrari car collection. The jigsaw was given on Christmas ’06 and the credit of putting the lil pieces together must be given to mom, sis and myself. We took around 3-4days to complete the 1000 pieces.
(6) A close up look at my Ferrari car collection from Shell (Thank you for helping me to buy some of them – You know who you are *wink!). The yellow ‘garage’ was handmade by dad.
(7) Ahhh…my hot air balloon. It is one of my dreams to sit on a hot air balloon someday. So, since I can’t do it now, then I might as well dream of it in my room :)
(8) How it looks like at night with the bulb in it.
(9) Magnets and keychains from friends when they were back from traveling. See the empty space in the center? Hehe, you know what to do, when you go traveling!
(10) Handphone holder given when I was in Singapore. The handphone was not in there that time as I was using it to take those pics.
(11) My Christmas ‘07/New Year ’08 gift during the present exchange in Chilli’s Gurney. It is a pic frame.
(12) My pink bedroom slippers :)
(13) My bed, accompanied by my toys. Thank you for all the toys! You know who you are *wink!
(14) Erm..Nothing much to say about this, but it is really not from the Cleo mag!

OH... Nuzaimi... you are so sweet to invite all of us over to your house for Raya open house during workday lunch time! Yes, lunch time! A sudden breakaway from work for that 2 hours lunch then sudden back-to-work mood after that 2 hours.. a big swing of mood in a day.. haha. I believe all of us having a great time enjoying ur mom's cooking. Curry chicken, roti jala, rice with spices(beriyani?), ketupat, ketupat nasi, spaghetti, kuih raya, dessert.. (did I missed out anything else?).. are all very nice. You are honest enough to tell us all that it's your mom who prepared the food and that makes many of us feel more comfortable to finish the food.. I guess.. hehe :P

Life in Moto is a complete system. By means of complete system, it is like our eco-system, it never ends. When the time come, some leave the system and some join the system and the system keeps moving. Some choose to live the MotoLife, some choose to leave the MotoLife and the Moto never ends. Things keep changing in the system but this system doesn't change. I always feel like to resist the changes but the surronding forced me to move on. And there's one chinese poem that describe my feeling well. I would like to share it with you all and especially for T_Care. T_Care has choosen life beyond MotoLife so I wish him good luck ;)

A wedding dinner @ Sunway Hotel

I attended a wedding dinner last 2 weeks. It was the wedding of my colleague/friend/partner in Sunway Hotel, Seberang Jaya. The environment and decoration are just so nice. Balloons, ribbons, big photo background, lighting, audio visual system are all well planned. Even the tiniest element which is the balloons got the finest touch. Imagine a purple balloon inside a white ballons, the combination of the size/colour catches many attentions. It is romantic with balloons around the atmosphere. Romantic is of fine touching of tiny element such as a small gift on a normal day, a little kiss in the morning, or a minute glance thru the eyes in a normal talk. Let's get the romance in the air by giving a little attention on daily life! Another decoration that fall into I-want-to-have category is the big photo as background on the stage. Upon seeing it, I immediately share this out with my friend thru MMS. The photo taken is quite blurry as it is taken off a phone camera. Till then, let's expect a greater wedding of mine in the not-so-near future.

My Ferrari Cars

Recently, there has been this craze of Ferrari collectible cars by Shell. Available until the end of June, Shell's latest promotion gives customers a chance to own six limited edition Ferrari model cars when they fuel up at Shell stations nationwide.

The six sleek and sporty model cars are 1:38 scale detailed replicas of the Ferrari cars and feature the full livery and brand of Shell and Ferrari.

All the model cars have a two-speed functionality except for the F1 model, which features one-speed. The functionality allows the car to accelerate forward in first gear, then kick into second gear when the model car is pulled back on a smooth flat surface.

The six model cars available are: the sporty Enzo model, the new generation F430 Ferrari 8-cylinders, the 575 Superamerica, the 360 Spider, the high-performance F50 supercar, and the F1 2005 model, which was the 50th car built by Ferrari.
Shell V-Power Racing fuel customers can purchase a model car at RM3.99, while those who use Shell Super or Shell Diesel can purchase it at RM7.99.

I got all six of them, with the help of my sis and KC (Thank you sooo much! ). And with a little creativity from my dad, he made a nice yellow "garage" to park my "cars"..Thank you, dad. :)

For those who are curious why the "garage" is hanging in the air..hehe, it is not, and NO.., my dad DID NOT use super glue to attach to the wall (Cannot believed that some people actually thought of that). How it was done? Haha..not telling you...

We had our last celebration in KFC last Tuesday...it was kind of cut cost event but its fun though. The whole of Minnow IP67 team was there to celeb the joy and the birth of our baby. Congrats TEAM with the good job. Hope can work with all you again in future

MOT 1st quarter result is out! Mot share gain a little even with a posted lost of 0.08 cents per share. A surprising result as we, Motorolan, not doing that bad at all as predicted by market analyst time earlier. Exclude all acquisition, restructuring and legal related cost, we actually have a earning of 0.02 cents per share. This is a hard time for the company with a reduced unit sales in the volatile market of mobile devices.

Our company is not doing well, we certainly can feel the pain as well. Product completion lunch at KFC is really nothing great to mention at all. However, this team in the photo did a great job to launch a great product and hopefully will help to increase the sales in the following quarters. It's really great to have the senior director for lunch with us (he is in the photo as well). We know he just came back from a US trip. I should have asked for some chocolates from him that day. Should I? :p

My Friday started with a factory visit together with Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz alongside with other delegation to Sharjah, A Malaysian owned steel factory- EverSendai. They have made business by supplying their steel and other structures to Burj Al-Arab and few major building in Dubai. Look how it takes to be proud of being successful Malaysian in UAE. After lunch I headed to Desert Safari tour. It took off at 3pm in a 4WD enjoying the thrill of driving over golden sand dunes. The route passed camel farms and desert scenery. It was like a roller-coaster ride….seriously! Upon arrival at the Arabic campsite, I took the opportunity to go on a camel ride. Wahhhhh what an experience that I can’t really described. So wonderful! At the campsite we enjoyed the sumptuous dinner, it’s a buffet + BBQ. We did henna painting, smoking shisha and experiencing the calm of a starlit desert night with a belly dancing performance. Although we go as strangers but towards the end of the day we made friends with other tourists there as well. They are soooo friendly. We departed at 10pm. This is the best night of all coz I got to go to Shakira aftershow Party! It started at 12 but she only showed up at 2.30. The party was so cool unlike clubs in Malaysia full of rowdies. I got to see Shakira face-to-face and can’t believe it she is so gorgeous and petite. She was surrounded by 20 bodyguards so I can’t even take photos of her at all…So sad! The night ended at 3 with me making few friends in there. Its terrific..hahahaha

Dubai is famous of its unique and eccentricity building and villas. On my 3rd stay, I attended a business meeting with Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz and other Malaysian Delegation to Dubai to enhance their business opportunities in UAE. In that meeting I was surrounded by all the Datuks’, Politician and Parliament Members not forgetting CEOs’ of individual business firms. Also present were Dubai’s companies and business ppl who are looking for partnership with fellow Malaysian and also African (Sharon knows who I am referring too!). I also met with Secret Recipe’s founder…wowww!!!! Later in the evening, ignoring my exhaustion I took a cab to the first Renaissance-themed style shopping mall in the Middle East and UAE, Mercato. The architecture is well-remembered by all because this is one of Dubai’s most sophisticated malls. Apparently I did no shopping because it’s damn expensive. Happen so that Souk Madinat Jumeirah is nearby so I decided to go there again. I really envy this place because it is an authentic recreation of an ancient marketplace with traditional Middle Eastern design, style and ambience. After taking few snapshots, I then move to my next destination-Karama City Center. Located on the Bur Dubai side of the creek, Karama has a main long street with veranda covered shops on both sides. That is the place I deserved to be as it offers cheap and cheerful goods at below average prices. I bought my shisha pipes and other souvenirs there too. I also had a good prawn beriyani there whereby the quantity can fit for 3 ppl but for the price of 1…Can you imagine how big the pack is? My tummy was fully loaded till I hardly walk back. So once your stomach is stuffed what’s next you can think of??!!! ZzzZZZzzzzz…

21st March in Dubai

My second day in dubai started at 8am for breakfast and ended with a tiring schedule as i was following my sis going about and attending meeting. Was pretty boring at first until they treated us wonderful lunch. This time around we had western cuisine, Chillis. At first when i entered firstly strike my mind is this place should be similar like Chillis in KL but turned up to be different. It was like a normal ordinary restaurants with less deco. Just to be lucky we made friends with the BERNAMA journalists (if u happen not to know, they work for RTM and BBC) and they brought us around dubai in the nite time. There's where our journey started when we strolled down the city of dubai (more shopping indeed) with vibrant and unique building standing tall right in front of me. The journalists are very humble and sporting, they did a stand over (a short documentary) about dubai with us as the casts (hell yaa we will be on TV). We were admiring the Burj Al-Arab the 7 star hotel with fantastic architecture before heading to Souk Madinat Jumeirah, one of its aspiring bazaar (frankly saying it doesnt look like a bazaar more like sunway pyramid). I was really mesmerising the beauty of the inner deco but sadly they do not offer good bargain (mainly for higher class shoppers). We had dinner in there (Al-Makan Restaurant) with great view facing Burj Al-Arab. I had khomous and kabaab and it was fabolous. We ended our journey by going to the seaside of Jumeirah where i can still continue to admire the 7 star hotel. Its was %$^&-ing freezing where i can no longer hold on anymore. We headed straight to our coaster and went back to our hotel to have a cup of coffee. The End....To Be Continued......

Maasalamah...elo every1. Apparently my trip to dubai was a memorable yet fantastic 1. it was indeed worth flirting place u opt to be!especially me it worth every single penny to get all the goods n shop around if you are good at PR.My arrival in dubai was escorted by the Shangri-La's bellboy. The journey to my hotel was serenic but the traffic was goshh....worst than KL. Upon check-in i was astounded by this touring package by the concierge ppl. It was chilling n at nite it was freezing. didnt expect the weather to be that great was thinking it cud b an oven-based temp. The 1st nite i started shopping already. We left at 7.30 had dinner in 1 of the best lebanese restaurant next to my hotel. Down street from my hotel, have lots of restaurant and food shop... KFC, Nandos, TGI Fridays, Chillis, Burger King but i chose a lebanese cuisine. We shopped in the Naif Souk where good bargain offers. I went hilarious looking at the things sold there. The cutlinery is very fine and nice where its gold n crystal plated. We shopped till 12am and surprisingly they are still opened! I was shocked to know the roads there are damn safe where no one actually dare to come n mess with you be it you alone or in group. I was walking in the "lorong" at midnite and managed to come out from it safe n sound. The moment i reached my hotel was already 1am. didnt do much but straight went to sleep.. To be continued...

Talking about Life in Moto, surely most of the engineers come across Rub and Buzz issue during their radio development.

What is 'Rub and Buzz'...According to somebody's paper, it is defined as an undesired, non-linear audio distortion....What does it mean? Till now I still don't know how to define it correctly.

This is what I found out in a Korean bus...the Korean use tennis balls as dampeners for speakers on luggage compartment. No buzzing at all...what a brilliant ideal...

Should we put something like this in our radios???

Nuzaimi Dubai's Trip

Nuzaimi is going to Dubai tomorrow leaving us in Penang for a week long. This posting is especially for her to remind her to bring back photos, stories, and of course souvenirs when she back in Penang later. :D To make the souvenir shopping easier for her, I decided to give her a little help. Pashmina shawls will be good for female whereas bling-bling will be good for male. Glass/silk handicraft will be a good choice for souvenirs too. hehe

I bet this title is very catchy to grab your attention! :) Well, what we are talking here is no embryo-foetus-infant kinda thing. We are talking about our walkie-talkie. Yeah, it is my and Nuzaimi's 1st but Khan's 2nd. Three of us, step-parents of this 'child' have been working on this baby for almost 10 months. Finally, it was a very sentimental feeling for all of us when we saw this advertisement. Check out the picture! Most of the feedbacks I got from my friends is:

" Awwwww...that's sooooo cute!!!" Hmmm, not sure they are referring to the fish or the portable radio. Anyway, this baby is dust-tight and water sumersible. So, those bubbles in that picture, it is for illustration purpose. ;)

International Woman's Day

For the past 20 years, 8th March is just another day in Mot.

This year, however, there's a company-wide celebration for the day with various activities carried out in different countries. Perhaps it is an outcome of a post-mortem after a sex discrimination lawsuit being filed against the CEO.

In Penang, female employees are encouraged to wear nicely on that day. Icecream are being distributed for female employees only (what an unfair case for male employee!) . There was a best dress competition for female employees as well with prizes. The only activities male employees can take part is to create a creative Woman's day card for someone (female only) who inspired them in office. Winner will be eligible for a prize from HR department. The top three winners turned out to be female. (what a coincident huh)

I created a card for a charming lady. Winning is no longer what I am concern about as I'm a declared winner after she saw the card. Thank you, Sharon!
